A hand-crafted theatre poster inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliette, blending traditional artistry with digital enhancement to capture the passion and tragedy of the story.
This project involved designing a theatre poster using a combination of hand-made elements and digital refinement in Adobe Photoshop. Drawn to the timeless beauty of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliette, I wanted to create a piece that felt both intimate and dramatic, reflecting the story’s tension between love and fate.
I began by exploring a range of visual concepts, sketching motifs such as lips, a knife, and a starlit night sky. After experimenting with symbolism, I chose to combine the lips and knife, a striking visual metaphor for desire and danger. Each element was first crafted by hand before being refined and assembled digitally in Photoshop, resulting in a bold, emotive poster that bridges classic romance with modern design.
