About Me
Grace Lavinia
My Aim is to Create Thoughtful Design, Full of Heart and Personality
Hi! I’m Grace, a fun-loving, beach-going, cow-adoring Graphic Designer with a passion for creating beautiful, thoughtful brand identities. I’m drawn to the charm of country-core and cottage-core aesthetics, often blending their warmth and whimsy into my work. My design style leans feminine and sophisticated, reflecting my love for detail, storytelling and authenticity.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me baking something sweet, exploring the outdoors, or relaxing by the coast. I can be a little reserved at first, but once I’m comfortable, my loud, bubbly side shines through.
I absolutely thrive when building cohesive, personality-filled brands that connect with people. I bring determination, creativity and a genuine love for design to everything I do.
As a designer, I’m driven by curiosity and a love for thoughtful details. I enjoy exploring how colour, typography, and texture can shape the way people feel and connect with a brand. My creative process is hands-on and intuitive, I love experimenting, refining, and finding the visual language that feels just right. Whether I’m creating a logo design, building a brand from the ground up, or polishing the finer points of a project, my goal is always to deliver designs that feel authentic, cohesive, and full of personality.
Education
I completed my Certificate IV and Diploma in Graphic Design at TAFE NSW, where I developed a strong foundation in visual communication and branding, and discovered my love for thoughtful, meaningful design.
Professional Experience
I worked at Central Coast Motor Group for three years, creating social media content and graphic design assets, and occasionally assisting with reception, service reception, and CRM tasks. This role strengthened my skills in practical, real-world design and client communication.
Volunteer Work
I’ve volunteered at Moo to Ewe Rescue, caring for cows, pigs, ducks, goats, sheep, and chickens—feeding them, administering medication, and helping wherever needed. I also contributed my design skills to Paws for Change, a rescue organisation saving dogs from the streets of Bali. I designed brochures, created social media content, and even wrote a few blogs to help raise awareness and support for their work. These experiences taught me patience, empathy, and the power of storytelling through design.
Location
I live in Hornsby, where I draw inspiration from my surroundings and the small details that make life beautiful.
My Skills
Adobe Photoshop
I have strong confidence in Photoshop, with well-developed skills in photo editing, retouching, compositing, and creating polished visual assets. I’m comfortable working with adjustment layers, masking, colour correction, and preparing images for both digital and print use. My workflow is efficient and detail-focused, allowing me to produce professional, creative outcomes consistently.
Adobe Illustrator
I’m highly proficient in Illustrator, especially in vector illustration, logo design, branding assets, and clean, scalable artwork. I understand how to use paths, shapes, the Pen Tool, and advanced vector techniques to bring concepts to life with precision. I’m confident creating visually strong, adaptable designs that meet branding and layout needs.
Adobe InDesign
I have solid InDesign skills, particularly in layout design, publication formatting, and creating organised, print-ready documents. I’m comfortable working with master pages, styles, grids, and export settings to ensure clean and consistent layouts. While still growing my expertise, I can confidently produce professional brochures, multi-page documents, and other editorial pieces.
