Fading Hope
A cinematic poster design for Fading Hope, blending emotional storytelling with oceanic symbolism to capture themes of isolation, loss, and resilience.
This project involved designing a movie poster for the film Fading Hope, starring Chris Evans, Toni Collette, and Barry Otto. With such recognisable actors, my goal was to ensure that Chris Evans and Toni Collette remained the central focus while building a composition that reflected the film’s emotional depth.
Drawing inspiration from the film’s oceanic themes, I echoed the title text within the waves and replaced the letter “A” with a small boat, a subtle yet powerful symbol of isolation and fading hope. The artwork was created in Adobe Photoshop using multiple masking layers and text effects to achieve rich depth, atmosphere, and emotion. The final piece visually immerses viewers in the story’s tone before they’ve even seen the film.
